Upcoming forum on short-rotation woody crops

The IRBV and the Réseau ligniculture Québec (the Quebec Woody Crops Network), with support from Natural Resources Canada, are planning a forum on cultivation of short-rotation woody crops for energy purposes. Several IRBV researchers, particularly Michel Labrecque’s team, have been conducting studies in this field for several years.

The activity will take place in Wendake, in suburban Quebec City, March 14-15, 2012, and targets an audience representing Quebec forestry and agriculture. Fifteen speakers from Quebec and the rest of Canada will share their knowledge regarding the latest developments in this field, making the event an exceptional opportunity for all participants.
